A flashy, dazzling, and wealthy people’s shopping capital, Hong Kong, the special administrative region of China is so much more than what we think about it. The first thing to strike our mind when we talk about this thrilling city is its tall superlative and soaring structures, an energy that transfers in you and the time that runs in another dimension, thick smog, chaotic and jam-packed roads and wild night outs, all of which makes up one of the biggest multicultural city of Asia.

There is just more to explore in the city that what its hustle and bustle lead on. From the endless places, you can shop from to sightseeing, and the latest, trendiest garner of restaurants, bars clubs, and a number of Old-fashioned Street markets such as Ladies’ Market and the Temple Street Night Market, etc.

A trip to Hong Kong

Hong Kong, as its name inspires, is a vision of development. The crowded city has one of the biggest hub airports in the world which hurls in millions of tourists every year. Hong Kong has become one of the top getaways for English people and an overwhelming number of tourists enter the fascinating city through UK travel agency. Sure, the city can have a little intimidating effect on many of its first-time visitors, especially those not used to crowded places but it’s only a promise that you will have an endless list of things to do here and places to see, leaving no time to scratch one’s head about what to do in the city.

The first thing is to find the most suitable flight from your hometown to the city. By looking at a travel aggregator site, you can find different flights. As soon as you land in Hong Kong, you can head straight to your hotel for some refreshment and rest.

Having discussed all that, we can now proceed with Hong Kong delights and sights. We have developed a 4-day itinerary to the city. While four days are not enough to completely grasp in the magnificent city, this itinerary, which is planned wisely, will help you organize your trip can help you tick most of the things off your bucket list on your brief and amazing vacation to Hong Kong.

Day 1

Start your vacation in the city with understanding its past by visiting its museums. The museums will give a long-detailed overview of archaeology, social history, ethnography, and natural history. From there, head to the Kowloon Island’s gigantic park that features a swimming pool, a Chinese garden, an aviary, a fitness center, little ponds where you can watch ducks, and plenty of rest areas. After spending a nice afternoon there, go to the street markets in Mong Kok, the largest and busiest markets. The markets have a great electric atmosphere and sights. Ladies Market, where you can find anything for ladies, from clothing items, accessories, to souvenir and the Temple Street Night Market, which is basically a flea market.

Next, head to the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront and take in the breathtaking skyline view of Hong Kong Island. Go to the Avenue of Stars, which is Hong Kong’s response to the Hollywood “Walk of Fame.” There are shops, restaurants, and, at night, a large outdoor market serving traditional Cantonese food where you can hush that roar in your stomach. Take a Star Ferry to get across the harbor from Kowloon Island to Hong Kong Island to enjoy the fantastic view of the city skyline.

Day 2

Your second day is all about sightseeing. Start it by taking a cable car to visit Po Lin Monastery. You can enjoy a panoramic view of the airport, harbor, and entire city before it travels through the surrounding mountains and islands. Next, take a junk boat to sail around the harbor and enjoy a beautiful afternoon sightseeing the city from another view.

You must be hungry by now. Take a food tour around the food-filled city. The adventurous tours will let you see and enjoy some of the greatest street food, Cantonese cuisine tours, fine dining, and craft beer and cocktail tours.

Day 3

Your day 3 is about seeing the historical and heritage site. Start your tour by strolling in the Ping Shan Heritage Trail, which will lead you to some of the most ancient sights of the Tang clan such as the walled Hakka village of Tsang Tai Uk, Che Kung Temple, Man Mo Temple, the Fu Shin Street Traditional Bazaar, and the Temple of Ten Thousand Buddhas. Another trail is called the Lung Yeuk Tau Heritage Trail following which you will come across the Taoist temple complex of Fung Ying Seen Koon, the walled villages of Ma Wat Wai and Lo Wai and the Tang Chung Ling Ancestral Hall.

Next, stop by the Hong Kong Heritage Museum to see the city’s history and love of art which includes an opera house for amazing performances.

Your next stop will be the Kung Temple, which is just down the Heritage Museum. The temple is home to most of the greatest traditional architecture and intricate sculptures.

Day 4

Since this is your last day in the city, let’s make the most of it. Take a tram to the top of the Peak, which is Hong Kong Island’s largest mountain. There, you can enjoy a spectacular 180-degree view of the skyscrapers of Victoria Harbor, Kowloon, and the surrounding hills and take some amazing snaps. In the outer mountains and islands, you can go hiking.

If you are with the family, you should definitely take a trip to Disneyland. Hong Kong’s Disneyland is one of a kind, with amazing sea creatures, and of course the Mickey Mouse.

End your amazing trip to the fascinating city by enjoying its nightlife. LKF is an area where you will see the wilder side of the city and find tons of bars, clubs, shisha, cheap drinks and plenty of shots.
