Even the largest of cities such as Warsaw and Krakow are extremely walkable, and I recommend a free walking tour to learn a little bit about the history and culture. I have taken the basic taxi and they were furthermore going for the trek so I have found my companions, Also the upside of the taxi is that you can stop wherever you need so we took 2-3 refueling breaks in light of which we found a decent pace of things about the spot and people.
