I have always been a great admirer of nature and being a travel lover I make sure I don’t miss out on any weekend to travel around. Besides I am also a mountain lover and Manali being my favorite destination I make sure to keep exploring places there almost every few months. So the last trip that I took was an all-girls trip and it was really one of my best visits to the place.

It was the month of December and winter was at its peak and I trust me there is no better time to visit Manali than winters. As soon as we ended our office for the day we took our bus to Manali and we it was almost an all-night journey to our weekend spot. Trust me we could really feel the chill even before we stepped out of the bus. We reached our destination around 5 in the morning and as soon as we got down we could feel ourselves freezing. The temperature was around -4 degrees, but what better could it be to sip a hot cup of tea in such weather.

Soon after we reached our hotel rooms, none of us could think about resting but we freshened up and started walking on the hills to explore around. It was one of the most beautiful mornings I could say. While walking back to our driver who was supposed to show us some places around we were welcomed by a local family there who served us some breakfast and tea. The hospitality that I get there every time is worth talking about. Finally our cab arrived and we went to Solang Valley where it snowed for a while and we had a lot of fun. Trust me we were in no mood to see places like a tourist so we took the matters in our own hands and hiked on the snow to a place where we could literally see nothing but white snow-capped mountains. After spending some time there we reached back to cover our bucket list that was a small waterfall; Jogini Falls known mostly by locals there, which could be reached after a small trek.

We asked our driver to drop us to the Vashisht Temple which was the start of the trek and from there we started walking towards the fall. It was a trek of around 3 kms but worth walking to. The sun already started to go down but we had made sure to hike there. On the way we met a couple as well as a group who were hiking to the place and finally we had new friends. The pine trees, the jungle and the hills what else could someone want with life. We reached to the Jogini Mata temple and worshiped there, the fall was around 1 km ahead. We clicked some pictures and sipped hot tea and moved ahead, finally after a hike of around 1 hour we reached to our destination and the place was really worth walking for.

I wished we could have camped there for the night but may be this could be in my nest bucket list. After having some quite time and talks we started walking back, it was almost dark until we reached back. We went to the mall road and spent some time there tasting local dishes and shopping. We reached back to our hotel rooms and the weather was freezing again, luckily our rooms were warm and cozy, we were off to bed soon to enjoy the next day. The other day was more kind of tourist type, we visited the Hadimba temple and the Buddhist Monastery, both were amazing and before we could even realize the trip was over. Short, yet one of the most memorable ones for me.

I plan on soon visiting there again to camp along the falls!!
